Son of the President of Tajikistan elected to head the Central Asian Football Association

Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali, who is also President of the Tajikistan Football Federation (TFF), has been elected to head the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA), reports Asia plus citing the TFF press center.    

The next congress the Central Asian Football Association took place at Hyatt Regency Dushanbe Hotel on April 24.

Tajikistan Football Federation President Rustam Emomali was elected new President the Central Asian Football Association replacing representative of Uzbekistan Umed Ahmadjonov.

In this connection the CAFA Headquarters moves from Tashkent to Dushanbe.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan Football Federation Vice-President Dastanbek Konokbayev was elected First Vice-President of the Central Asian Football Association.

The CAFA members include Afghanistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
