The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, passed the test for fluency in the Kazakh language, the press service of the Central Election Commission (CEC) reports.
“According to the results of the exam, the linguistic commission by open vote unanimously decided that the presidential candidate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Tokayev Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich, is fluent in the state language,” the CEC's message reads.
It is noted that the linguistic exam was conducted in all three stages: writing a written assignment on the topic, reading the printed text and public speaking on the topic given by the linguistic commission for at least fifteen minutes. After passing the exam, a discussion and summing up of results by the linguistic commission took place.
