The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov and Foreign Minister of Afghanistan discused situation in region, reports 24kg.

Sooronbai Jeenbekov said the Foreign Minister’s first visit to Kyrgyzstan would strengthen Kyrgyz-Afghan cooperation and raise it to a new, higher-quality level, noting that Afghanistan is a close neighbor for Kyrgyzstan.

In his turn, Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Salahuddin Rabbani thanked for supporting Afghanistan.

"We are grateful that Kyrgyzstan supports the position of Afghanistan in the framework of international organizations. You can be sure that Afghanistan will always support the positions of the Kyrgyz Republic", -said Salahuddin Rabbani.

In addition, Sooronbai Jeenbekov and Salahuddin Rabbani also touched upon issues of ensuring security in the region, support of the ethnic Kyrgyz in Afghanistan and prospects for trade and economic partnership.
