The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov met with the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel during his official visit to Germany, reports 24kg citing administration of Kyrgyz President.

Angela Merkel welcoming Kyrgyz President noted that Germany and the European Union know the bold development path that Kyrgyzstan follows.

"We respect this choice. It is important that the well-being of the people develops, and we are ready to assist you in this. You now have good economic indicators. Growth of 5 percent is not bad", - noted Angela Merkel.

As stated by her, Germany can provide Kyrgyzstan with advice on phytosanitary matters, ensuring food security, the quality of agricultural products and the direction of green technologies.

In his turn, Sooronbai Jeenbekov talked about the successful financial and technical cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Germany.

"A memorandum of cooperation between our cooperative unions will be signed. We are interested in cooperation in the field of agriculture, breeding and seed farming and processing", - stressed the President of Kyrgyzstan.

At the end of the meeting, Sooronbai Jeenbekov invited Angela Merkel to have an official visit to Kyrgyzstan at any convenient time for her.
