President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has departed for Bukhara region to become acquainted with activities carried out on integrated development of the regions, identify new promising areas, reports the press service of Uzbek government.

By its territory, Bukhara region ranks second among the country’s regions after Navoi region. Tourism, industry, logistics and agro-industry are consistently developing in the region thanks to a convenient geographical location, historical monuments, rich natural resources, advanced experience in agriculture.

During his previous visit to Bukhara region on February 16-17, 2018, the President gave instructions to authorized persons on creating a modern image of the region, further developing production and processing of products, transport and logistics, services sector, agriculture, education, as well as increasing tourism potential.

During the current trip it is planned to become acquainted with the progress of the implementation of these instructions, with investment projects of socio-economic development of the region.
