Astana takes 2nd place in the most romantic CIS cities ranking

Analytical agency TurStat made a ranking of the most romantic cities in the CIS and near abroad countries for Russian tourists to visit on weekends and holidays. Capital of kazakhstan Astana takes 2nd place  in the ranking.

According to the agency, romantic tourism to the CIS countries makes up over 1 million trips per year.

Survey participants made their choice. Tbilisi, as the most romantic city of the near abroad and the CIS for traveling, won 33 percent of the votes, Astana, Baku and Minsk — 14 percent each, Chisinau — 10 percent of votes.

In addition, Almaty, Bishkek and Yerevan were also included the ranking of the most romantic CIS cities. All three cities scored 5 percent of the votes of the respondents.
