It is result of the study “Inflation and inflation expectations”, posted on the website of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
According to the document, about 20% of Kazakhstanis plan to buy something on credit or take a bank loan in the next 12 months, about 75% do not plan such actions, and another 5% of Kazakhstani respondents in January 2019 found it difficult to answer.
Also, a little more than half of Kazakhstani people (more than 50%), according to the GfK Kazakhstan survey, did not have any loans as of January 2019. However, more than 30% of respondents had a consumer loan to buy household appliances and other goods, about 3% - a loan to buy a car, about 5% - a mortgage loan, and about 8% - other types of loans.
The most massive range of monthly payments on loans, according to the study, was T10-40 thousand.
Recall the volume of loans issued by banks to individuals at the end of December 2018 amounted to T5.3 trillion.
