By the beginning of 2019, Kyrgyzstan granted 187 foreign citizens granted refugee status, said the chairman of the state migration service Bolotbek Ibraimzhanov.
“By the beginning of 2019, Kyrgyzstan granted 187 foreign citizens granted refugee status. Of these, 87 people are citizens of Afghanistan, Syria - 70, Ukraine - 19, and other states - 11,” Ibraimzhanov said.
According to him, about 12 thousand foreigners come to Kyrgyzstan annually to earn money.
“Thus, in 2016, 12 thousand 135 foreigners received work permits, in 2017 - 12 thousand 138, in 2018 - 12 thousand 950. Budget revenues from issuing licenses amounted to 265 million soms,” added B Ibraimzhanov.
