For 11 months of 2018, Kyrgyzstan imported from Russia and Kazakhstan about 484 thousand tons of petroleum products, which in the total volume is estimated at 270 million US dollars, reports the National Statistics Committee.
These countries are the main suppliers of fuel and lubricants (POL) for the republic. Thus, during this period, 411 thousand tons (37.9%) of oil products were imported from Russia for the amount of $ 241 million, which is 8% less than in the same period of 2017. During the same period, about 73 thousand tons (8.4%) of petroleum products were imported from Kazakhstan in the amount of $ 29 million, which is 9% less than in the 11 months of the previous year.
Due to the decline in the volume of imports of petroleum products in Kyrgyzstan during 2018, there was a steady increase in prices for fuel and lubricants. Thus, in general, the rate of price increase was 10.7%: diesel fuel rose in price the most (18.5%), while the price of gasoline increased by 9.5%.
