On January 6, hundreds of people gathered in the center of Karagandy. They demanded explanations from the authorities in connection with the recent murder at a local restaurant.

Those gathered were first at the Department of the Interior, then headed towards other administrative buildings. Some people have stated that "the offenders will be able to escape punishment". However, mayor of Karagandy region Yerlan Koshanov promised that nobody will escape punishment and he will control all the situation.

"Some people say that offenders will give money and escape punishment. But nobody will do that. This case is under public control, monitoring is conducted by the highest authorities. This investigation will proceed until the criminals receive punishment. I promise you as the mayor of the region, as a representative of the president here. The main suspect will be detained for two to three days”, -said Yerlan Koshanov.

Recall, the murder was committed on January 1 in the restaurant "Ancient Rome". According to the prosecutor's office, there was a conflict between clients after drinking. As a result, four people were stabbed and one died. Criminal cases under articles about murder and hooliganism are got.
