Kazakhstan will start exporting petrol to Kyrgyzstan in February next year, reports Energy Minister Kanat Bozymbayev.
"We received a response from the Kyrgyz side last week. They have appointed the head of the relevant committee, we held bilateral meetings. If we come to an agreement on the New Year, we are planning to sign the document in January, and then from February we will start exporting petrol", - noted the Minister.
Kazakhstan does not intend to export diesel fuel yet. First of all, it is necessary to determine the demand of Kyrgyzstan for fuels.
According to him, Kazakhstan can cover consumer demand by 120%. After the modernization of three large oil refineries in Kazakhstan, fuel have increased. Kyrgyzstan consumes 1 million tonnes of fuel a year, which is imported from Russia.
