From January 1, 2019, prices of medicines will be regulated in Kazakhstan. Relevant amendments on the circulation of medicines and medical devices were adopted by the Senate at a plenary meeting.

Currently, pricing in the commercial sales market is not regulated.

In addition, the planned changes imply four levels of price regulation: at the producer level, wholesales, retail sales, purchases under the GFMP and OSMS.
