Prosecutor General's office: Gulnara Karimova is serving a sentence in Uzbekistan

The eldest daughter of the first president of Uzbekistan Gulnara Karimova is currently serving a sentence in the territory of the republic, reports Deputy Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan Erkin Yuldashev at a meeting of the International Press Club.

“Gulnara Karimova is serving a sentence imposed by the court on the territory of Uzbekistan”, - noted Yuldashev.

In addition, Yerkin Yuldashev commented on the progress of criminal cases against former Prosecutor General Rashid Kadyrov and former First Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Committee Abdusalom Yuldashev.

“The investigation into the case of the former Prosecutor General Rashid Kadyrov is at the final stage. The results of the criminal case will be covered in detail to the public, the head of the country spoke about this more than once. We will report the date and place of the trial”, - said Yuldashev.
