The Russian launch vehicle "Soyuz" with a manned spacecraft was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to the International Space Station (ISS). Canadian, American and Russian cosmonauts are on board of the ship.
This is the first manned mission to the ISS after the unsuccessful launch of the " Soyuz" in October. The cosmonaut of Roscosmos Oleg Kononenko, NASA astronaut Ann McClain and astronaut of the Canadian Space Agency David Saint-Jacques are part of the crew that went on December 3 to the ISS.
The rocket launched at about 17 hours 40 minutes according to Astana time. "Roskosmos" reports that the Souz MS-11 spacecraft was nominally separated from the third stage of the launch vehicle in a given near-earth orbit and continued autonomous flight.
