By the Decree of the Government, Sungat Yessimkhanov was appointed to the post of vice minister of energy of Kazakhstan. Previous vice minister Anatoly Shkarupa was relieved of his post according to the submitted application.

Recall, former vice-Minister of Energy Anatoly Shkarupa was arrested for two months, the press service of the Astana City Court reports.

"The specialized inter-district investigative court granted the request of the body conducting the investigation to elect a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months against Anatoly Shkarupa. The sanction will last until January 16, 2019," the statement reads.
