President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented 25 buses to the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan to transport students. The gift of the president was conveyed in Kabul by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Afghanistan, Yadgarkhozha Shadmanov, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reports.

Representatives of the Afghan ministries and departments expressed gratitude to the Uzbek leadership for "such a significant gift to the Afghan people" and stressed the prospects for cooperation between the countries in the future. IRA Minister of Higher Education, Najibullah Khoja Omari, noted that "this event is a vivid example of the fraternal attitude of Uzbekistan to the people of Afghanistan."

Recall, this is not the first transfer of equipment to Afghanistan. In January, 25 buses, 3 tractors and mounted equipment were donated on behalf of Mirziyoyev in Hairaton. In late September, the Samarkand Automobile Plant sent more than 100 ambulances to Afghanistan. This is provided for by the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani to Uzbekistan.
