On November 13, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, reports the official website of Uzbek President.

During the conversation, the heads of states discussed the state and prospects of multifaceted cooperation development between the two countries in the context of implementation of agreements at the highest level.
It was noted with deep satisfaction that regular meetings and contacts between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are reliable foundation for further strengthening bilateral friendship and strategic partnership, expansion of practical cooperation in various sectors of the economy.
The Presidents focused on issues of increasing mutual trade turnover, strengthening cooperation in industry, energy and agriculture, formation of effective transport corridors, activation of interregional and humanitarian exchanges.
The sides noted common approaches and positions on the most important aspects of cooperation, including, ensuring regional security and stability, countering modern challenges and threats, rational use of water resources, effective development of energy potential.
The importance was noted for continuing close cooperation on a wide range of issues on bilateral and multilateral agenda, as well as mutual support for promotion of initiatives in international arena and implementation of major infrastructure projects in the region.
The Presidents reaffirmed their firm commitment to consistent deepening and strengthening multifaceted relations based on centuries-old friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership principles for the benefit of fraternal people of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
