The mayor of Dushanbe ordered the creation of more than 17,000 jobs in the city in three years.

“Dushanbe Mayor Rustami Emomali approved an action plan for the capital’s administration to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Tajikistan’s State Independence Day.

According to the approved plan, over 4 thousand industrial, retail, educational, healthcare, cultural, leisure and sports facilities will be commissioned in Dushanbe in 2018–2021. In general, more than 17 thousand new jobs will be created on them,” a source in the mayor’s administration confirmed.

The planned industrial facilities will mainly produce confectionery, textiles and household equipment.
