The French National Center for Space Research (CNES) and the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications of Uzbekistan signed a framework agreement on cooperation in space, UzTAG reports.
According to the French Embassy in Uzbekistan, the agreement was signed by CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gaulle and Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov.
The document provides for joint activities in the field of space research and technology, in particular the development and production of satellites, observation and collection of data from the Earth.
In addition to the development of joint projects, the preferred forms of cooperation between the parties will be the exchange of experience and best practices, training and promotion of space activities, in particular the involvement of young personnel in this area.
In addition, a coordination committee will be created to effectively coordinate the various activities. The signing of the agreement should further allow France and Uzbekistan to develop many opportunities for cooperation in various areas.
