The Kazakhstani Program of the III Turkic World International Festival of Documentary Films will be held on October 19, 2018 in Almaty. The event is organized by the Turkic World Journalists Federation and Al-Farabi KazNU.
This year the film festival will be held in the leading partner universities of eight participating countries, its opening ceremony took place in early October at Istanbul University. It is of great social and cultural importance for Turkic countries. The best works from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Cyprus, Uzbekistan and Russia (Bashkortostan and Tatarstan) are presented in the film festival. Films are devoted to current social, cultural, spiritual and socially significant topics, and youth education.
In addition, as part of the event, there will be a demonstration of documentary works of the festival entitled «Turk Ana», which was recently held in Turkey (Osmania). The heroes of the films were mothers (Analar) from eight Turkic countries, including Kazakhstan.
The event will be attended by Menderes Demir, President of the Turkic World Journalists Federation, Yılmaz Karaca, President of the Journalists Federation of Turkey and other foreign guests, as well as documentary filmmakers and authors of the films, representatives of public and Media, and University students.
