In Uzbekistan, the size of fines for throwing garbage from cars and public transport has doubled.
The relevant changes have been made to Article 123 of the Administrative Responsibility Code.
According to the new rules, for the release of garbage or other items from motor vehicles, urban passenger transport, and also cars, you will have to pay a fine of one-fifth to one minimum wage (from 36,800 (about 5 dollars) to 184,300 soums). This order will come into force on January 11, 2019.
Currently, this penalty is charged in the amount of 18,400 soums to 92 thousand soums.
According to official data, in 2017 in the Tashkent region 1394 violations of environmental legislation were identified, of which 223 were in the field of waste management, which accounted for 40,8% of the total number of violations detected. In general, over 133 million soums were collected for the violations found.
