Akimat (administration) of Astana for the first month of refusing to use office machines saved 26,5 million tenge (about 72 thousand dollars), reports "Yelorda Info" with reference to the Office of the regeneration of the urban environment of Astana.

Before employees of akimat began to use taxis instead of company cars, the cost of transport services for the mayor’s office was 40 million tenge (108,000 dollars) per month. After the first month of abandoning our car park, 13,5 million tenge (37,000 dollars) was spent on transportation costs. "Budget savings in September amounted to 60%," - clarified akimat.

The ministry noted that taxis, which work with the administration, strive to improve the quality of their services: they bought new cars, covered the salons of old cars with new covers and began work on improving their mobile applications.

In addition, the employees of the metropolitan mayor's office will change from official cars by taxi, city authorities announced at the end of last year. The reason for this innovation was the desire to save budget funds. According to estimates of officials, the rejection of official cars for five years will save one billion tenge (2,7 million dollars). The authorities plan to save the money for free food for junior schoolchildren, additional grants to study at universities, and to provide students with hostels.
