A high-speed train will run between Turkistan and Almaty in the near future. This became known today during the signing of a memorandum in the akimat of Turkistan region, reports press service of akimat of Turkistan region.

First of all, Roman Botabekov, general director of the passenger company  "Turan Express" and the TV channel "Turan-TV", met with regional mayor of Turkistan  Zhanseit Tuimebayev. During the meeting, the head of the company expressed his willingness to contribute to the development of domestic tourism.

"I was glad to take the news that Turkistan became a regional center. I myself was born and raised in Kentau. Therefore, I would like to contribute to the development of my native land and increase the tourist potential. From November we are planning to launch a high-speed train between Almaty and Turkistan. Moreover , we intend to prepare videos, reports and films about the sights of the Turkistan region and the city of Turkestan, posting them on the TV channel "Turan-TV". I think that through this work we will be able to contribute to the development of tourism ", - told Roman Botabekov.

In this regard, today a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the company "Turan Express" and the management of passenger transport and highways, the department of tourism and foreign relations and the management of domestic policy of the Turkistan region. In addition, the memorandum was also concluded between the TV channel "Turan-TV" and regional offices.

It should be noted that the high-speed train between Turkistan and Almaty will run on Fridays and Sundays. Passengers traveling on this train will be able to get acquainted with the sights of Turkistan during these two days, and without having to rent a hotel room, they can relax in the train itself. In the future, the train is expected to run daily.
