Presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the basis of a joint venture (JV) in Tashkent started the construction of an excavator plant, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reports.

Joint venture "Amkodor-Agrotechmash" was established on the territory of the Tashkent plant of agricultural machinery.

"The project worth $ 33 million will be implemented in 2018-2021. At the first stage, the plant will produce construction and agricultural excavators of 12 types. The degree of localization will be brought to 22% in 2019, and to 50% in 2021," the message reads.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev said the need to expand the range and increase the level of localization of products. He stressed that Uzbekistan has a favorable location for the delivery of agricultural machinery to the countries of the region.
