Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev together with the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev took part in the official opening ceremony of the Chingiz Aitmatov Street located in the new developing region of the left bank of Astana, reports primeminister.kz.
The opening of the street named after the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov is a confirmation of friendly and brotherly relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, demonstrates the commitment of the two countries to strengthening friendship.
Creativity and lifestyle of Chingiz Aitmatov are directly connected with the land of Kazakhstan. It is no accident that in his memoirs he wrote: "When I go abroad, there are two talismans that always protect me: the first is the epic Manas, and the second is Mukhtar Auezov."
"Chingiz Aitmatov is in fact equal for both peoples — our common pride. We all grew reading the works of a great writer. And today the younger generation enjoys Aitmatov’s works, because his work is very close to us. It contains the fate and deep roots of the two fraternal peoples," Sagintayev said in his speech.
Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Abylgaziev sincerely thanked the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev for the decision to assign one of the streets to the name of the great writer.
