Bishkek city court extended until October 5 a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to the former prime minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov, Azattyk radio reports.

"The court extended the term of the arrest of former Prime Minister Sapar Isakov until October 5. Thus, the court granted the petition of the investigative authorities, "the report reads.

The State Committee for National Security arrested S.Isakov on June 5 on charges of corruption during the implementation of the project "Modernization of the Bishkek CHPP".
