At the same time, almost 16.1 people arrived in the country, which is 20.5% more than last year.
The migration balance, as in 2016, was negative (-21,623 people). In terms of external migration, Kazakhstan is down from 2012. At the same time, the number of arrivals is gradually decreasing, and the flow of retired has started to grow since 2014.
The main migration exchange of the country in 2017 occurred with the CIS countries. The share of arrivals from the countries of this union was 72.1% (11.6 thousand people), and those who left the country - 89.4% (33.7 thousand people).
