During the lease of the Baikonur complex, 2.645 billion dollars were received into the revenue part of the budget of Kazakhstan, said Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

The Head of Government mentioned that the city's residents are not restricted by political convictions, race and nationality, social origin, sex, social or property status, language and religion. This issue is governed by the 1995 agreement on the status of the city of Baikonur.

Recall, in December 2017, more than 100 Russian citizens working in the rocket and space industry in Baikonur came to the rally, demanding legal housing from Russian government.
