The International Financial Center Astana (AIFC) announced the official launch, the press service of the International Finance Corporation said.
Among the tasks of the center are called ‘assistance in attracting investments in the country's economy by creating an environment that is attractive for investment in financial services, developing the securities market of Kazakhstan, ensuring its integration with international capital markets’.
With AIFC, the Financial Services Regulatory Committee began its operations. FSRC licenses a wide range of services, including investment and asset management, private banking, fund administration and administration, custodial services, Islamic finance, and representative offices.
Within the framework of AIFC for the first time in the post-Soviet space, particular jurisdiction with its right, based on the principles of English commercial law and standards of the world's leading financial centers, such as London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, was introduced. An independent court of IFC has been set up to consider commercial and civil disputes, as well as the International Arbitration Center.
AIFC provides a single window system, a simplified model of issuing visas, registration, obtaining work permits and other procedures.
