‘Uzbekistan announced its intention to provide entrepreneurs of Kyrgyzstan with a $100 million loan’, said Economy Minister of Kyrgyzstan Artiom Novikov. The funds will be spent for the import of Uzbek products to Kyrgyzstan.
'100 million dollars will be sold through commercial banks. A separate agreement will be concluded between the financial and credit institutions of two countries on conditions for provision of this money. The state will not have any guarantee for these funds. Moreover, all details will be worked out by a separate agreement between the credit institutions of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan’, he said.
Earlier, the first official visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov to Uzbekistan held. During the meeting, the presidents of two countries have discussed to increase market and economic sides of between two countries.
Recall, on October 24, the government of Kyrgyzstan was rejected $100 million from Kazakhstan which has been received based on standards of the Eurasian Economic Union (EES). The law on denunciation was signed by the former president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev. ‘Frankly, we don't need this aid. We have been waiting for this aid for 10 years and it has not even come, we should decline aid for sure’, Atambayev said.
