Kazakhstan's Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev on behalf of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will take part in the Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation about on the status of Jerusalem, reports the press service of the Senate. Also, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Kairat Abdrakhmanov will attend to the meeting.
The summit will be held on December 13, 2017 in Istanbul, at a summit initiated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey, the rotating term president of the OIC, on the agenda is the question ‘On the status of the city of Jerusalem’. The OIC officially supports a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
