The former President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev was awarded the highest degree of distinction «Kyrgyz Respublikasynyn Batyry»  (Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic) with the presentation of a special sign 'Ak Shumkar' by new President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov .

The Order was given because of  'shining merits to the people, an outstanding contribution to strengthening the state independence of Kyrgyzstan, the unity of the people, peace and harmony in the country, creating a solid foundation for sustainable development of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as political will and courage'.

On November 24, 2017, during the inauguration, Sooronbai Jeenbekov promised to reward Almazbek Atambayev by his first decree of Kyrgyz Republic.

Recall, the law constitutional changes which  approved in a referendum in early December guarantee to protect Almazbek Atambayev and his family.
