November 16, 2017, the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the involvement of Minister of Internal Affairs were detained 11 residents of South Kazakhstan region on suspicion of propagating terrorism and incitement of religious hatred, the NSC press club reports.
They were arrested because of disseminating materials agitating the extremist ideology of ISIS and other international terrorist organisations via the "Whatsapp", "Telegram" and other social networks of the Internet. Extremist materials were published in 24 networked communities where participants more than 400 people.
The investigation is going on.
