It is reported during a meeting of the Presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa.

“During the meeting, issues were discussed of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and the AFC. The opportunities for organizing major international football tournaments in the country, including world and continental championships among youth, youth and women's teams, were noted,” the message reads.

The importance of continuing the confederation's assistance in creating a world-class football infrastructure in Uzbekistan, methodological support, support for talented youth, and the training of highly qualified specialists, coaches and referees was also emphasized.

As noted, AFC confirmed its commitment to expanding full-scale partnership with Uzbekistan, also its readiness to jointly promote new programs and practical cooperation projects.
