Today Mongolian Foreign Minister Damdina Tsogtbaatar met with former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, who arrived in Ulaanbaatar to attend the Boao Forum for Asia, Montsame reports.
D. Tsogtbaatar noted that it is a great honor for Mongolia to hold the next conference of the Boao Asian Forum, which discusses the economic problems of Asian countries and gathers representatives of this region, including famous scientists and experts, representatives of major private companies. The Minister further expressed gratitude that the Chairman of the Boao Forum for Asia, the 8th UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, personally arrived in Mongolia to take part in this conference. The Ulaanbaatar Conference will discuss not only a wide range of issues related to the economic development of Asian countries, but also provide detailed information on the investment environment of Mongolia.
In turn the Chairman of the Boao Forum for Asia, Mr. Ban Ki-moon congratulated and expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia in organizing and supporting the conference. He further noted that the purpose of the conference was to identify the socio-economic problems and opportunities of the regions that are developing at the fastest pace.
