The 81st meeting of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States will take place on March 15 in Moscow. The meeting will be chaired by Turkmenistan, reports the press service of the CIS executive committee.
The agenda includes a wide range of issues of interaction between the CIS countries in the economic sphere. In particular, the discussion will focus on the development of a strategy for ensuring the information security of the States members of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
A special place on the agenda is occupied by the issues of ensuring the rights of consumers in the field of electronic commerce in the CIS countries.
The meeting will address issues of cooperation between the customs authorities of the States members of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of protection of intellectual property rights, amending the Agreement on the procedure for customs clearance and customs control of goods transferred between the States Parties to the Agreement on the creation of a free trade area from October 8, 1999. In addition, the meeting participants will discuss a number of other financial and organizational issues.
