On October 22, 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland with the residence in Helsinki Marja Elina Liivala, reports the official website of Uzbek government.
Accepting the credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on appointment and wished her fruitful activity in a high and responsible post.
According to the Ministry, at the meeting, the sides discussed key issues of Uzbekistan – Finland agenda and exchanged views on promising areas of enhancing cooperation in various fields, including within the framework of the UN and other international organizations.
Proposals for holding the next round of inter-ministerial political consultations, resumption of activities of the Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic cooperation were also considered.
