Facebook for the first time blocked several dozens of accounts in Russia that were allegedly convicted of illegally collecting and analyzing user data, which were then transferred to officials and other interested parties.
These accounts are allegedly linked to the Social Data Hub company located in Ireland. The social network demanded from the compony that they should reveal and destroy all of their illegal activities over the next 24 hours.
The founder of the company Social Data Hub is Arthur Khachuyan, who until 2014 headed the cybernetics department of the "Apostol" advertising agency Tina Kandelaki. He also runs the company Fubutech. In both organizations, reportedly, the same team works. Social Data Hub carries out commercial orders, and Fubutech - governmental orders. In an interview with The Bell, Khachuyan disavowed responsibility for how the state authorities dispose of the data obtained.
In an interview with RBK, he allowed a lawsuit to be submitted to Facebook in case the social network does not restore the accounts.
