Mirziyoyev: Kabul and the Taliban movement should come to dialogue

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev called on the Afghan authorities and the Taliban of movement to come to direct dialogue.
Shawkat Mirziyoyev, during his speech at the opening ceremony of the Conference "The settlement of the crisis in Afghanistan" in Tashkent, said: "In official Kabul and opposition groups, including the Taliban movement, without any requirements should come to direct dialogue. This issue should not be postponed. Otherwise, thousands of people will die".
Recall, at present time Tashkent hosts an international conference on "The settlement of the crisis in Afghanistan". According to official data of Uzbekistan, foreign ministers of Central Asia, Head of the EU foreign policy department Federic Mogherini, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Political Affairs Thomas Shenon, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Afghanistan Tadamichi Yamamoto and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov are taking part in the conference. In addition, special representatives from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, France, the United Arab Emirates and Japan have also come to the capital of Uzbekistan.
