Kyrgyzstan officially rejected $ 100 million allocated by Kazakhstan, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Anuar Zhaynakov reports.
'We received an official notification from Kyrgyzstan about the denunciation of the agreement last week. In the future, the problem will be resolved within the framework of international law', he said.
The money which has been received based on standards of the Eurasian Economic Union was planned to improve the sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary systems of Kyrgyzstan. Later, the deputy of the Majilis of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashibaev mentioned in case of the denunciation of the agreement, the rejected money, $100 million can be spent on the development of social sphere of Kazakhstan.
Recall, on November 23, 2017, 'We planned to build a laboratory for the money. However, we funded them from own budget. Of course, it is not easy, but we need to solve our problem by ourselves. That is why we cancelled the agreement', Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Duishenbek Zilaliev explained.
