A telephone conversation took place between President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, reports Akorda.

During the conversation, the President of Kazakhstan congratulated Vladimir Putin on his birthday, wished him health, prosperity and success in a high state post for the benefit of the people of Russia.

The President of Russia thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for congratulations, noting the high level of Kazakh-Russian allied relations based on strong ties of friendship and good neighborliness.

The heads of state also considered the schedule of upcoming meetings, including the preparations for the XVI Forum of interregional cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia, which is scheduled to be held on November 6-7, 2019 in Omsk.
