Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov set the task to provide the countries of Central Asia with computers of Turkmen production. The President signed the law on cybersecurity at a government meeting on September 6, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

Computers are manufactured at the Turkmen-Chinese joint venture Agzybirlik Tilsimaty. According to the agency, it was opened in October 2018 to “produce the most secure computers, develop their own programs and train programmers.”

This year, by order of Berdymukhamedov, the company has already produced 80 thousand children's educational computers, which on behalf of the president were presented to first-graders:

- The program loaded into them performs 198 different educational functions and has three language versions: in Turkmen, Russian and English. All applications are designed for primary school students and include basic subjects that children will learn in school in the first three years.
