The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan expects to achieve oil production of 29 million tons at the Tengiz field this year.
After the implementation of the project of future expansion in 2024, production is expected to increase to 39 million tons per year, Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev said at a meeting with the public.
“Today, more than 45 thousand Kazakhstanis are working on a large-scale project, the overall progress of work is more than 61%,” the minister added.
With a total project cost of about $ 37 billion, $ 12 billion is Kazakhstan content. Of which, today the amount of goods, works and services purchased from domestic enterprises amounts to $ 7 billion.
