During the meeting, Elbasy personally presented Vladimir Putin with the Order of "The first President of Kazakhstan- Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev",  reports the press Service of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy.

The first President of Kazakhstan noted the current results and prospects for the further development of the Eurasian Economic Union.

- Five years ago you, I, and Alexander Lukashenko created this union. 25 years ago at the Moscow State University I proposed this idea, which we implemented. Despite difficult times, mutual trade between us is growing. The number of joint ventures is increasing. I believe that the EAEU should follow the path of integration with the EU, SCO, ASEAN and other organizations. And we need to work on it, - said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Vladimir Putin thanked Elbasy for the award presented to him and expressed confidence in further strengthening the comprehensive dialogue.

- I would like to thank you for the award and for what has been done in the matter of integration, bilateral relations and the development of strategic cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan. This is your great merit, - said the President of Russia.
