Tajikistan imported more than 166 thousand tons of petroleum products in the first four months of this year, according to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During this period, a total of 166.6 thousand tons of petroleum products were imported for a total amount of US $ 106.2 million, which is about one third of the country's needs for fuel and lubricants per year. In comparison, Kyrgyzstan consumes more than 1 million tons of petroleum products per year.
On average, the cost of one ton of petroleum products amounted to 637 dollars. Indicators of imports of petroleum products exceeded the volume of imports of these products for the same period in 2018 by 12.8 thousand tons.
Russia remains the main supplier of petroleum products. Also, oil products in Tajikistan were supplied from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and other countries.
