On the eve of a state visit in an interview with a number of local media, President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae Ying called priority directions for the development of economic cooperation.

“While continuing to search for new opportunities for the implementation of bilateral cooperation projects, including the development of gas fields and the construction of power plants, it is also important to expand cooperation to such advanced knowledge-intensive areas as information and communication technologies (ICT), fifth-generation mobile communication technologies - 5G, industries, including medicine and bioindustry,” the  press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan quoted President Moon.

As the President of South Korea stressed, in 2018, bilateral trade reached its highest level in the entire history of relations between countries, at $ 2.1 billion.
