President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on April 16 left for an official visit to the Russian Federation.

During the official visit of Rakhmon to Moscow, it is planned to sign, including agreements on cooperation in migration issues, on Russian investments in the economy of Tajikistan and on cooperation in the energy sector.

Russia remains an active economic partner of Tajikistan. The volume of trade between the two countries last year amounted to more than $ 1 billion, Russia's investments in the economy of Tajikistan exceeded $ 1.6 billion.
