Kazakhstani banker Jomart Yertaev has been extradited from Russia to Kazakhstan, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Kazakhstan reports.
“Employees of the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan to extradite criminal proceedings to extradited from the Russian Federation Jomart Yertaev. In March last year, he was put on the international wanted list. Yertayev J. is suspected of organizing theft from 2011 to 2017 of T144 billion of Bank RBK JSC using his official position, according to preliminary agreement with other persons, ”the message reads.
As noted, along with Yertayev, 54 persons are suspected of embezzlement, including 41 top managers and ordinary bank employees - the previously extradited Bakhytzhan Ibrahim, Mazhinov I., Tuganbai D., Edigenev D., Mamyrbekov A., Sharipov T. and others.
