President Sooronbay Jeenbekov urged judges to improve computer literacy at the XI Congress of Judges of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“Today, all judicial proceedings, paperwork are carried out on paper, we spend a ton of papers on their reprinting. I looked at the expenses on paper: in 2015, 25 million soms were spent, in 2019, 33 million soms were provided. As you can see, costs are rising. Although it would be possible to translate all this into electronic format for a long time, ” he said.
The head of state urged judges to improve computer literacy. “Computer literacy should be part of the professional competence of judges. For three or four years, we must transfer the judicial system to electronic format. For example, in Kazakhstan, 91% of applications to the courts are received in electronic format,” the President added.
