According to researchers, in 2016, 2.1 million people died in Europe from heart disease, obesity and high blood pressure caused by excessive salt intake and insufficient consumption of vegetables.
The country with the highest death rate from malnutrition was Uzbekistan. There, per 100 thousand of the population, 394 people became victims of unhealthy eating habits. In the second and third places of anti-rating are Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The top ten included Ukraine, Moldavia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Russia.
In Western Europe, the worst figure in Germany.
